Το Πολεμικό Ναυτικό εξέδωσε σήμερα τη NAVTEX για τις σεισμικές έρευνες του πλοίου Sanco Swift σε Κρήτη και Πελοπόννησο. Η NAVTEX εκδόθηκε από τον σταθμό Ηρακλείου του ΠΝ.
Η NAVTEX προβλέπει ότι από σήμερα 8 Νοεμβρίου 2022 και μέχρι νεωτέρας, δεσμεύονται περιοχές στο Ιόνιο Πέλαγος, το Δυτικό Πέλαγος και δυτικά και ανατολικά της Κρήτης, προκειμένου το πλοίο Nanco Swift να πραγματοποιήσει ανάπτυξη εξοπλισμού και σεισμικές έρευνες.
Οι σεισμικές έρευνες για τη διερεύνηση ύπαρξης κοιτασμάτων υδρογονανθράκων ξεκινούν τις επόμενες ημέρες, ανέφερε ο πρωθυπουργός κ. Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης σε συνέντευξή του. Τα δύο «οικόπεδα» δυτικά και νοτιοδυτικά της Κρήτης που θα γίνουν οι έρευνες καλύπτουν θαλάσσια περιοχή εμβαδού 40.000 τετραγωνικών χιλιομέτρων.
Και στις δύο περιοχές η πλειοψηφία των δικαιωμάτων έρευνας ανήκει στην ExxonMobil η οποία, ύστερα από την αποχώρηση της γαλλικής ΤotalEnergies, ελέγχει το 70 % των δικαιωμάτων, ενώ το υπόλοιπο 30 % ανήκει στην Hellenic Energy (ΕΛΠΕ). Οι συμβάσεις μίσθωσης των δύο περιοχών είχαν κυρωθεί από τη Βουλή το 2019.
