Απεγνωσμένα ψάχνει να βρει… αντιλυσσικό εμβόλιο στη Ρόδο, μια δασκάλα από τη Σύμη την οποία δάγκωσε νυχτερίδα τα ξημερώματα της Δευτέρας. Σε επικοινωνία με το ΚΕΕΛΠΝΟ της συνέστησαν να κάνει εντός 48 ωρών τον ορό της λύσσας για τη ζωή της γιατί βρισκόταν σε κίνδυνο.
Έτσι λοιπόν εσπευσμένα ενημέρωσε το νοσοκομείο Ρόδου το οποίο με τη σειρά του ζήτησε από την τροφοδοσία του από την Αθήνα για να παρασχεθεί το εμβόλιο στην εκπαιδευτικό. Όταν ήρθε στη Ρόδο η εκπαιδευτικός διαπίστωσε ότι το εμβόλιο δεν είχε ακόμη έρθει, ενώ το περιθώριο του 48ωρου είχε παρέλθει και έτσι νιώθει εκτεθειμένη στον θανατηφόρο ιό.
Για καλή της τύχη, έστω και καθυστερημένα μετά από παρέμβαση του υγειονομείου το πρώτο από τα 5 εμβόλια της χορηγήθηκε ωστόσο ο κίνδυνος παραμένει υψηλός.
