Φοιτητής από το πανεπιστήμιο UCLA στην Καλιφόρνια είναι ο δράστης του νέου αιματηρού επεισοδίου την Τετάρτη. Σύμφωνα με αστυνομικές πηγές ο φοιτητής, του οποίου το όνομα ακόμη δεν έχει γίνει γνωστό, πυροβόλησε τον καθηγητή του Ουίλιαμ Κλαγκ γιατί δεν του έβαζε καλούς βαθμούς και στη συνέχεια αυτοκτόνησε.
Ο 39χρονος καθηγητής, πατέρας δύο παιδιών, δίδασκε βιολογία στο πανεπιστήμιο. Στο σημείο βρέθηκε το όπλο, ενώ φαίνεται να βρέθηκε και σημείωμα του αυτόχειρα.
Σύμφωνα με πηγές της αστυνομίας, ο νεαρός ήταν δυσαρεστημένος από τους βαθμούς που του έβαζε ο καθηγητής του, θεωρώντας ότι τον αδικούσε.
Το τραγικό περιστατικό συνέβη μια εβδομάδα πριν από τις τελικές εξετάσεις στο οποίο 43.000 φοιτητές θα δώσουν εξετάσεις.
