Ανοικτό και πάλι άφησε το ενδεχόμενο μίας σύρραξης με την Β.Κορέα ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος.
Μερικές μόνο ώρες μετά την απόφαση της Ουάσινγκτον για λήψη νέων κυρώσεων προς την Β.Κορέα, ο Ντόναλντ Τραμπ ξεκαθάρισε πως αν δεν έχουν κάποιο αποτέλεσμα, θα πρέπει να αρχίσει να εξετάζεται η “φάση 2”.
«Αν δεν αποδώσουν οι κυρώσεις θα πρέπει να αρχίσουμε τη φάση δύο. Η φάση δύο θα είναι θα είναι πολύ σκληρή, πολύ ατυχής για τον κόσμο».
Πάντως κατά τη διάρκεια της κοινής συνέντευξης τύπου με τον Αυστραλό ηγέτη, Μάλκολμ Τέρνμπουλ, ο Τραμπ είπε ένα λιτό “θα δούμε”, απαντώντας ουσιαστικά μόνος του στο αν πράγματι θα εφαρμοστεί η λεγόμενη “φάση2”.
Όλων το μυαλό πήγε προφανώς στην στρατιωτική σύρραξη στην κορεάτικη χερσόνησο, παρά τα βήματα προόδου που έχουν κάνει το τελευταίο διάστημα οι Νότια και Βόρεια Κορέα.
Ωστόσο πολλοί εκφράζουν φόβους πως αμέσως μετά την “αναλαμπή” αυτή εξαιτίας των Χειμερινών Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων, η κρίση θα επιστρέψει δριμύτερη στην χερσόνησο.
