Στις 26-27 Μαΐου η Ιαπωνία θα φιλοξενήσει 42η Ομάδα των Επτά, κοινώς γνωστή ως Σύνοδο Κορυφής της G7, στην περιοχή Ise-Shima. Αυτή η Σύνοδος κορυφής θα αποτελείται από αυτά τα 7 κράτη: Καναδάς, Γαλλία, Γερμανία, Ιταλία, Ιαπωνία, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες.
Ο Καναδός πρωθυπουργός Τζάστιν Τρουντό, ο Γάλλος πρόεδρος Φρανσουά Ολάντ, η Γερμανίδα καγκελάριος Άγκελα Μέρκελ, ο Ιταλός Πρωθυπουργός Ματέο Ρέντσι, ο Ιάπωνας πρωθυπουργός Σίνζο Άμπε, ο Βρετανός πρωθυπουργός Ντέιβιντ Κάμερον και ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος Μπαράκ Ομπάμα θα είναι παρόντες.
Και δεν χρειάζεται να αναφέρουμε ότι θα είναι παρούσα και η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση.
Αυτή η Σύνοδος κορυφής θα επικεντρωθεί κυρίως σε αυτά τα top 10 θέματα: Ενίσχυση και αποτελεσματικότητα της βοήθειας, Οικονομική Ανάπτυξη, υγεία, ύδρευση και αποχέτευση, επισιτιστική ασφάλεια, εκπαίδευση, ισότητα, διακυβέρνηση, ειρήνη την ασφάλεια, Περιβάλλον και Ενέργεια.
