Οταν ο γαλαξίας μας συγκρουστεί με την Ανδρομέδα: Εκπληκτική προσομοίωση της NASA-βίντεο
Σε περίπου πέντε δισεκατομμύρια χρόνια από τώρα ο Γαλαξίας μας (Milky Way) θα συγκρουστεί με τον κοντινό γαλαξία της Ανδρομέδας. Ερευνητές της NASA δημιούργησαν εκπληκτικά βίντεο που προσομοιώνουν αυτή την εκπληκτική σύγκρουση και πώς θα φαίνεται από τη Γη.
Το βίντεο προσομοιώνει τη σύγκρουση του Γαλαξία μας με το γαλαξία της Ανδρομέδας, που φιλοξενούν περισσότερα από 100 δισεκατομμύρια άστρα ο καθένας και είναι παρόμοιοι σε σχήμα και μέγεθος.
Αν και ο καταστροφικός όρος «σύγκρουση» υποδηλώνει μία τρομερή καταστροφή, οι δύο σπειροειδείς γαλαξίες δεν θα συγκρουστούν πραγματικά ο ένας με τον άλλο, αφού οι αποστάσεις τους είναι πολύ μεγάλες. Ουσιαστικά μετά την ολοκλήρωση της «σύγκρουσης» θα συγχωνευτούν μέσα σε 5000 εκατομμύρια χρόνια σε έναν ελλειπτικό γαλαξία.
