Ένα «μαύρο πλαίσιο» που φαίνεται πως έχει τοποθετηθεί εκ των υστέρων στο πρόγραμμα περιήγησης του ουρανού Sky, όπου παρατίθεται ως επιλογή από το βασικό πρόγραμμα Google Earth, έχει προκαλέσει το ενδιαφέρον αρκετών που κινούνται στο χώρο των συνομωσιών γύρω από τον πλανήτη Nibiru.
Πιο συγκεκριμένα και στις συντεταγμένες 5 (h) 53 (min) 27 (s) – 6 10΄ 56” στη θέση εμφανίζεται ένα «μαύρο πλαίσιο» αντί του κανονικού ουρανού με τους αστερισμούς. Οι υποστηρικτές της θεωρίας της συνωμοσίας λένε πως πριν τοποθετηθεί από τη Google το μαύρο αυτό κενό, υπήρχε η απεικόνιση ενός άγνωστου αντικειμένου στις διαστάσεις ενός μεγάλου πλανήτη, που όμως δεν ήταν χαρτογραφημένος, με άλλα λόγια ήταν πρωτοεμφανιζόμενος.
Το πλαίσιο ως patch είναι εύκολα αναγνωρίσιμο και δεν χρειάζεται ιδιαίτερη προσπάθεια, απλά τοποθετείστε στο Google Earth στην επιλογή Sky και στο πεδίο της εύρεσης θέσης τους αριθμούς 5 53 27, -6 10 56 και θα σας οδηγήσει ακριβώς στο επίμαχο σημείο. Σε άλλα πάντως προγράμματα περιήγησης όπως το Sky-map.org, ή το WorldWide Telescope της Microsoft, ή στο GoogleSky συγκεκριμένη περιοχή εμφανίζεται χωρίς κανένα κάλυμμα γεγονός όμως που δεν αρκεί για να σταματήσει την παραφιλολογία γύρω από την υπό «απόκρυψη» περιοχή.
