Μέλη της Ένωσης Διεθνών
Τηλεπικοινωνιών των Ηνωμένων Εθνών (ITU) έχουν συμφωνήσει να εργαστούν για την
υλοποίηση ενός προτύπου για το Διαδίκτυο, που θα επιτρέψει τις υποκλοπές σε
παγκόσμια κλίμακα.
Σε ένα συνέδριο στο Ντουμπάι αυτή την
εβδομάδα, τα μέλη της ITU αποφάσισαν να υιοθετήσουν το πρότυπο Y.2770 για τον έλεγχο
των πακέτων δεδομένων, μία άκρως απόρρητη πρόταση που ακολουθεί το παράδειγμα
της Κίνας και θα επιτρέψει σε εταιρείες τηλεπικοινωνιών σε όλο τον κόσμο να
ψάχνουν πιο εύκολα τα δεδομένα που έχουν περάσει σε όλο το διαδίκτυο.
Σύμφωνα με τον ΟΗΕ, η εφαρμογή του
πακέτου αυτού βαθύτερου ελέγχου, ή DPI, σε μια τέτοια παγκόσμια κλίμακα θα
επιτρέψει στις αρχές να εντοπίζει ευκολότερα την μεταφορά και ανταλλαγή των υλικών
που άπτονται πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων και άλλα αρχεία που θα προστατεύονται με
απευθείας ανάλυση του ωφέλιμου φορτίου σε απευθείας σύνδεση κατά τη μετάδοση , και
όχι μόνο για τα δεδομένα κεφαλίδας που συνήθως εντοπίζονται και ερμηνεύονται.
