Ed Sheeran I See Fire is an original song written and co-produced by the British singer feature on the soundrack of "The Hobbit; The Desolation of Smaug". The mid-tempo, epic song is heard in the ending credits of the Peter Jackson film. Ed said that in "I See Fire", he got to "play all the instruments on it apart from the cello". The song lyrics are very fitting for the "Hobbit" theme.

μου φέρνει στο μυαλό κάποια σχόλια για το έργο `Εκάβη` του Ευριπίδη.
Κατά τον Segal,

ο χώρος στον οποίο τοποθετείται η δράση βαθαίνει την ηθική συνείδηση του έργου. Η θρακική χερσόνησος, αν και σημαντική και οικεία στους Αθηναίους τουλάχιστον από τον 60 αιώνα π.Χ., είναι ταυτόχρονα αρκετά απομακρυσμένη, ώστε να μπορεί να λειτουργήσει συμβολικά σαν ένα είδος ηθικής no man’s land (νεκρής ζώνης), ένας κόσμος στον οποίο διακυβεύεται κάθε ηθική αξία. Φαίνεται ότι βρισκόμαστε στις εσχατιές του ανθρώπινου πολιτισμού.
