More than 50 children taken to hospital after coach crash on A48
Twenty-five children were taken with minor injuries, as well as 28 uninjured children, after the accident near junction 28 of the M4
Twenty-five children have been taken to hospital after a coach crash.
One adult and one child were admitted on spinal boards and were being assessed.
The children were from Pentrepoeth Primary School in Bassaleg, Newport, and were returning from a morning swimming trip when the bus was in collision with a lorry.
A further 28 uninjured children were also taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in the city along with teachers and parents.
The injured children are said to have minor injuries, ranging from shock to bumps, and were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
A spokesman for Aneurin Bevan University Health Board said they have now all been discharged.
The coach was carrying 54 year five pupils all aged nine or 10.
Gwent Police said the lorry driver was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The accident happened on the A48 westbound between the Cardiff Road roundabout and J28 of the M4 at Tredegar Park at 11.45am with one lane closed while the emergency services were at the scene,
Headteacher Anne Carlyle told WalesOnline that it was a “minor accident” and that all of the children are ” fine” and have now gone home. She said the police and paramedics made the decision for the children to be taken to hospital as a precaution

stranger μπλόκαρε σε παρακαλώ τις διαφημίσεις αναβολικών ουσιών στο site. Ξέρω δεν τις επιλέγεις εσύ αλλά τα καλόπαιδα θα αρχίσουν πάλι να λένε. Και εκτός αυτών, δεν είναι σωστό.

και εγώ συμφωνώ με αυτό stranger, έχεις δυνατότητα να επιλέγεις τις διαφημίσεις που σου στέλνει η google. Αυτά μην αφήνεις να διαφημίζονται.
Εμένα δε με νοιάζει τι θα πουν άλλοι αλλά δεν πρέπει να διαφημίζονται αυτά εδώ μέσα που το παίζουμε και υποψιασμένοι όλοι μας και ψαγμένοι…..
