Ένοπλοι που ανήκαν στις τάξεις των εξεγερμένων στη Λιβύη απειλούν την ασφάλεια και τη… σταθερότητα στη χώρα, προειδοποίησε η Διεθνής Αμνηστία σε έκθεσή της που συμπίπτει με τον ένα χρόνο από την εξέγερση κατά του καθεστώτος Καντάφι…
Σύμφωνα με την οργάνωση ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων οι πρώην εξεγερμένοι είναι «εκτός ελέγχου». Η Διεθνής Αμνηστία αναφέρει ότι τουλάχιστον 12 άτομα που κρατούνταν από ενόπλους πέθαναν μετά από βασανιστήρια από τον περασμένο Σεπτέμβριο. Σύμφωνα με την έκθεση, ομάδες πρώην εξεγερμένων πραγματοποιεί παραβάσεις ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων, για τις οποίες δεν τιμωρούνται και δεν ελέγχονται από την προσωρινή κυβέρνηση. Η οργάνωση αναφέρεται σε περιπτώσεις κρατουμένων που είπαν ότι
ξυλοκοπήθηκαν επί ώρες με μαστίγια, καλώδια, πλαστικούς σωλήνες, μεταλλικές αλυσίδες και ράβδους και υπέστησαν ηλεκτροσόκ με ηλεκτροφόρα καλώδια και όπλα τύπου teaser.
Σε κέντρο κράτησης στην Τρίπολη, ερευνητές της Διεθνούς Αμνηστίας ανακάλυψαν κρατουμένους που είχαν υποστεί σκληρά βασανιστήρια, τους οποίους οι ανακριτές είχαν προσπαθήσει να κρύψουν. Ανάμεσα στους κρατουμένους είναι Αφρικανοί μετανάστες. Τον προηγούμενο μήνα ο ΟΗΕ ανακοίνωσε ότι περίπου 8.000 υποστηρικτές του Καντάφι κρατούνται από πρώην εξεγερμένους.
