Τη δυτική Ελλάδα αναμένεται να πλήξει μέσα στις επόμενες ώρες ο κυκλώνας της Σαρδηνίας, εμφανώς εξασθενημένος ωστόσο σε σχέση με την ένταση των φαινομένων που εκδηλώθηκαν στην Ιταλία.
Ο κυκλώνας θα πλήξει κυρίως περιοχές της δυτικής Ελλάδας και του Ιονίου, ενώ δεν αποκλείεται ισχυρές βροχές και καταιγίδες να σημειωθούν και σε άλλες περιοχές της ηπειρωτικής χώρας.
Όπως επισημαίνουν μετεωρολόγοι για την ένταση των καιρικών φαινομένων στην Σαρδηνία, η βροχή που έπεσε ξεπέρασε τα 450 χιλιοστά, η μισή δηλαδή από τη βροχόπτωση ολόκληρου του χειμώνα.
Ένα ανάλογο σύστημα ενδέχεται να δημιουργηθεί στη χώρα μας και από το απόγευμα της Πέμπτης έως την Παρασκευή, προκαλώντας όμως ηπιότερα φαινόμενα.
Σύμφωνα με τον Ιταλό υπουργό Περιβάλλοντος Αντρέα Ορλάντο, ο κυκλώνας «Κλεοπάτρα» που έπληξε χθες τη Σαρδηνία, άφησε πίσω του 18 νεκρούς και περίπου 2.700 εκτοπισμένους.
