Σεισμική δόνηση μεγέθους 4 βαθμών της κλίμακας Ρίχτερ σημειώθηκε στις 20:46 στην Καλαμάτα.
Σύμφωνα με την πρώτη εκτίμηση του Ευρωπαϊκού-Μεσογειακού Σεισμολογικού Κέντρου το επίκεντρο του σεισμού εντοπίζεται 10 χιλιόμετρα βόρεια της Καλαμάτας, ενώ το εστιακό βάθος ορίζεται στο 1 χιλιόμετρο.
Μέχρι στιγμής δεν υπάρχουν πληροφορίες για θύματα ή ζημιές.
