Μεγάλη φωτιά ξέσπασε το απόγευμα της Τρίτης στις αποθήκες της γαλακτοβιομηχανίας Κρι Κρι, στις Σέρρες.
Στο σημείο επιχειρούν δώδεκα πυροσβεστικά οχήματα τόσο από τις Σέρρες όσο και από τους γύρω νομούς, με 20 άνδρες, ενώ και τα περίπου 15 άτομα που εργάζονταν στις αποθήκες, εξήλθαν από τους χώρους χωρίς να αντιμετωπίζουν κάποιο πρόβλημα υγείας.
Η πυρκαγιά έχει προκαλέσει ολοσχερή καταστροφή σε μία μεγάλη αποθήκη της εταιρείας, ενώ έχει καεί μεγάλη ποσότητα πρώτων υλών.
Oι δυνάμεις της πυροσβεστικής δίνουν πραγματική μάχη προκειμένου η φωτιά να μην επεκταθεί στις κύριες παραγωγικές εγκαταστάσεις της βιομηχανίας, αλλά και σε δεξαμενές με αμμωνία που βρίσκονται πολύ κοντά στο σημείο.
Η τροχαία Σερρών διέκοψε την κυκλοφορία στο δρόμο Σερρών – Οινούσας. Σε απόσταση 300 μέτρων από το εργοστάσιο βρίσκεται πρατήριο υγρών καυσίμων.
Από τις πρώτες ενδείξεις φέρεται ότι η φωτιά στο εργοστάσιο ξέσπασε μετά από βραχυκύκλωμα που προκλήθηκε στις νέες του εγκαταστάσεις.
