Μεγάλη φωτιά ξέσπασε αργά απόψε στην Πούντα της Πάρου.
Είναι στο σημείο που συνδέει Πάρο-Αντίπαρο με το φέρι-μποτ…
Λόγω των θυελλωδών ανέμων που πνέουν αυτή τη στιγμή στην Πάρο, η φωτιά δυναμώνει και επεκτείνεται το μέτωπό της προς την περιοχή του Βουτάκου, ενώ ανεβαίνει και προς την περιοχή του δρόμου στο αεροδρόμιο.
Κακός σύμμαχος στην προσπάθεια κατάσβεσης οι θυελλώδεις άνεμοι που πνέουν με ένταση ίσως και μεγαλύτερη των 8 μποφόρ.
Το μέτωπο της φωτιάς, μπορεί να ξεπερνά αυτή την ώρα και τα 200 μέτρα, ενώ ανεβαίνει προς το νέο αεροδρόμιο της Πάρου.
Η φωτιά αλλάζει συνεχώς κατευθύνσεις λόγω του αέρα και προφανώς αυτή τη στιγμή είναι ανεξέλεγκτη. Στην περιοχή του Βουτάκου κινδυνεύουν να καούν οικίες.
Σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες μαρτυρίες η πυρκαγιά στην Πάρο ξέσπασε περίπου από την περιοχή του Ξηροπόταμου και επεκτάθηκε και στην υπόλοιπη περιοχή.
Αυτή τη στιγμή στην περιοχή της πυρκαγιάς βρίσκονται Πυροσβεστικές δυνάμεις, Αστυνομικές δυνάμεις, άνδρες της ΕΟΔ Κυκλάδων, ασθενοφόρα, ιδιωτικά βυτιοφόρα και πολλοί αυτοδιοικητικοί παράγοντες (με επικεφαλής το δήμαρχο Πάρου, κ. Χρ. Βλαχογιάννη).
