Διαψεύδει το Ισραήλ πληροφορίες που αναφέρουν ότι μετά από τις εκλογές στην Τουρκία στις 30 Μαρτίου θα υπάρξει συμφωνία μεταξύ του Ισραήλ και της Τουρκίας για την υπόθεση της ισραηλινής επίθεσης στο τουρκικό πλοίο Mavi Marmara.
Την πληροφορία αυτή είχε επιβεβαιώσει προσωπικά και ο αντιπρόεδρος της τουρκικής κυβέρνησης Bülent Arınç. Ισραηλινός αξιωματούχος ποιυ συμμετέχει στις τουρκο-ισραηλινές συνομιλίες προσέγγισης των δύο κρατών διέψευσε τον ισχυρισμό πως μετά από τις εκλογές θα υπάρξει εξομάλυνση.
Αντιθέτως ο Ισραηλινός αξιωματούχος ανέφερε πως οι συνομιλίες των δύο χωρών έχουν “σταματήσει” και παρά το ότι υπάρχει μια τηλεφωνική επαφή μεταξύ των εκπροσώπων, δεν έχει υπάρξει ακόμη κάποια συμφωνία.
Όπως ανέφεραν Ισραηλινοί αξιωματούχοι οι παραπάνω πληροφορίες προέρχονται από την τουρκική κυβέρνηση και αποτελούν μέρος της προεκλογικής εκστρατείας του κυβερνώντος κόμματος το οποίο ευελπιστεί να προσελκύσει πιο μετριοπαθείς ψηφοφόρους.
