««Το ΝΑΤΟ μπορεί να αναπτύξει τα στρατεύματά του όπου θέλει»», δήλωσε ο καινούριος Γενικός Γραμματέας της συμμαχίας, ”Jens Steltenberg”,την ώρα που βρισκόταν σε μια επίσκεψη του στην Πολωνία
Τα συγκεκριμένα λόγια αποτελούν σίγουρα μία επίδειξη ισχύος του ΝΑΤΟ που προφανώς θέλει να τρομάξει κάποιους συγκεκριμένα.Όμως μιλάμε για ένα είδος απειλής,με τον Γενικό Γραμματέα του ΝΑΤΟ να μην σέβεται ορισμένα ιδεώδη προσχήματα.
Ο νέος Γενικός Γραμματέας του ΝΑΤΟ δήλωσε επίσης ότι η απόφαση για την αναμενόμενη δύναμη ταχείας αντίδρασης θα πρέπει να εγκριθεί μέσα στον επόμενο χρόνο.
Να υπενθυμίσουμε πως εν μέσω της κρίσης στην Ουκρανία, η συμμαχία έχει εντείνει τη δραστηριότητά της, κοντά στα ανατολικά σύνορά και παράλληλα ανακοίνωσε την πρόθεσή της να δημιουργήσει μια δύναμη ταχείας αντίδρασης.
Η Ρωσία από την πλευρά της κάνει λόγο για μία άνευ προηγουμένου αύξηση της στρατιωτικής δραστηριότητας από το ΝΑΤΟ στην Ευρώπη.
