Το υπουργείο Άμυνας της Ρωσίας στις 27 Μαΐου σήμανε συναγερμό στο στράτευμα με στόχο την απόκρουση επίθεσης από το Διάστημα.
Ο στρατός τέθηκε σε ετοιμότητα στο πλαίσιο απροειδοποίητου ελέγχου της μαχητικής του ικανότητας. Στις ασκήσεις, που θα διαρκέσουν τρεις ημέρες, συμμετέχουν τα στρατεύματα αεροδιαστημικής άμυνας, αεροσκάφη μεγάλων αποστάσεων καθώς και στρατιωτικά μεταγωγικά αεροσκάφη.
Στις ασκήσεις συναγερμού συμμετέχουν 8.700 άτομα, 185 μαχητικά αεροσκάφη και 240 τεθωρακισμένα οχήματα μάχης. Αυτό ανέφερε ο αρχηγός του Γενικού Επιτελείου Στρατού Βαλέρι Γκεράσιμοφ.
