Ένας γερμανός φοροφυγάς κατέθεσε αγωγή κατά των υπευθύνων της θυγατρικής της τράπεζας του Λιχτενστάιν, LGT, για σοβαρές επαγγελματικές αμέλειες, αξιώνοντας το ποσό των 1,3 εκατ. ευρώ ως αποζημίωση.
Πώς δικαιολογείται αυτό; Διότι δεν ενημερώθηκε έγκαιρα για την υποκλοπή των τραπεζικών δεδομένων της LGT που σημαίνει ότι δεν είχε χρόνο να προσφύγει για ρύθμιση στις αρμόδιες γερμανικές αρχές και να αποφύγει τις διώξεις.
Η υπόθεση ξεκινάει το 2008, οπότε είχε αποκαλυφθεί πως ένας πρώην εργαζόμενος της LGT είχε υποκλέψει δεδομένα από τον εργοδότη του και τα πούλησε στις γερμανικές μυστικές υπηρεσίες. Οι πληροφορίες αυτές έφεραν στο φως το μεγαλύτερο σκάνδαλο φοροδιαφυγής στη Γερμανία, που είχε αντίκτυπο και σε άλλες χώρες.
Σημειώνεται ότι τον Φεβρουάριο του 2010 ένας άλλος πρώην πελάτης της LGT, που την είχε μηνύσει γιατί δεν ενημερώθηκε έγκαιρα για την υποκλοπή των τραπεζικών του δεδομένων, του επιδικάσθηκε αποζημίωση 7,3 εκατ. ευρώ. Ελληνα ο σημερινός εχθρός σου είναι η παραπληροφόρηση των μεγάλων καναλιών.
