Η δεύτερη νοebolaσοκόμα στο Ντάλας, η οποία προσβλήθηκε από τον ιό Έμπολα, είχε ενημερώσει το Κέντρο Ελέγχου και Πρόληψης Νοσημάτων (CDC) ότι είχε ανεβάσει λίγο πυρετό πριν επιβιβαστεί στην πτήση της εταιρείας Frontier Airline με διαδρομή από το Οχάιο στο Ντάλας, ωστόσο δεν της απαγορεύτηκε να ταξιδέψει, δήλωσε την Τετάρτη στο πρακτορείο ειδήσεων Ρόιτερς ομοσπονδιακή πηγή.
Η Αμερικανίδα νοσοκόμα, η οποία ήταν ανάμεσα στα μέλη του προσωπικού που φρόντιζαν τον Λιβεριανό ασθενή ο οποίος πέθανε την περασμένη εβδομάδα εξαιτίας του ιού, είχε ενημερώσει το CDC ότι είχε πυρετό 37,5 προτού επιβιβαστεί την 13η Οκτωβρίου στην πτήση. Δεδομένου ότι ο πυρετός που είχε εκδηλώσει ήταν μόλις λίγο πιο κάτω από το όριο που είχε ορίσει το CDC, δεν της «απαγορεύτηκε να πετάξει», δήλωσε στο Ρόιτερς η πηγή.
