Η Ελλάδα η οποία με τη συμφωνία που έκανε με την Αίγυπτο άλλαξε γνώμη στις θέσεις της για την ΑΟΖ των νησιών και της οποίας ο μαξιμαλιστικός χάρτης της Σεβίλλης πλέον με τις κινήσεις της Τουρκίας θεωρείται ως άκυρος, τώρα επιμένει στην μη απομάκρυνση του στρατού από τα νησιά.
Αλλά αυτή την στάση της που αποτελεί παραβίαση των συνθηκών Λωζάνης και Παρισίων, η Ελλάδα δυσκολεύεται να την αιτιολογήσει στην διεθνή κοινή γνώμη. Η Ελλάδα δέχτηκε την πρώτη έκκληση για εκκένωση των αποστρατικοποιημένων νησιών από την Γερμανία, ενώ μεταξύ των προτεραιοτήτων της Τουρκίας είναι και ο τραυματισμός των στρατιωτικών κινήσεων της Ελλάδας στα νησιά αυτά.
Στην επικαιρότητα των επαφών που θα γίνουν ανάμεσα στις δύο χώρες στην προτεραιότητα θα βρίσκεται η αποστρατικοποίηση των νησιών με αποστρατικοποιημένο στάτους με πρώτο το Καστελλόριζο.
Σχ. : Φυσικά να το συζητήσουμε, μόλις αποσύρουν τον κατοχικό στρατό από την Κύπρο και αναγνωρίσουν την Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία…
