Όλα τα έχουμε δει σ’ αυτή τη χώρα, αλλά δεν είχε ξανασυμβεί να κόβεται πρόστιμο για υπερβολική ταχύτητα σε… ασθενοφόρο, το οποίο μάλιστα μετέφερε εσπευσμένα ασθενή στο νοσοκομείο! Το περιστατικό συνέβη στον Βόλο και μάλιστα στον οδηγό επιβλήθηκε πρόστιμο και αφαίρεση διπλώματος για δύο μήνες!
Υπαίτιο για την πρωτοφανή υπόθεση είναι ένα ραντάρ της Τροχαίας, το οποίο έχει εγκατασταθεί στον Ριζόμυλο Μαγνησίας και καταγράφει με κάμερα τους παραβάτες οδηγούς. Αυτό έκανε και στην περίπτωση του ασθενοφόρου του Κέντρου Υγείας Βελεστίνου, το οποίο είχε αναλάβει την επείγουσα διακομιδή ασθενούς και ήταν λογικό να αναπτύξει μεγαλύτερη ταχύτητα από όση επιτρέπεται.
Όπως ήταν επόμενο, τόσο ο οδηγός του ασθενοφόρου όσο και το ίδιο το Κέντρο Υγείας υπέβαλαν ένσταση ζητώντας την ακύρωση της εξωφρενικής κλήσης, του προστίμου και της αφαίρεσης του διπλώματος. Αν η ένσταση δεν εγκριθεί από τον διοικητή της Τροχαίας, στο Κέντρο Υγείας του Βελεστίνου θα απομείνει μόνο ένας οδηγός ασθενοφόρου, που φυσικά θα είναι αδύνατο να εργάζεται όλο το 24ωρο.
