Βίντεο που δημοσιεύει η τουρκική ιστοσελίδα A Haber, επιβεβαιώνει τις χθεσινές δηλώσεις του Τούρκου Υπουργού Ενέργειας Φατίχ Ντονμέζ ότι το «Γιαβούζ» ξεκίνησε πριν από μερικές εβδομάδες τη γεώτρησή του στο σημείο «Μόρφου-1» στο τεμάχιο 7 της κυπριακής ΑΟΖ.
Σύμφωνα με δηλώσεις Τούρκου αξιωματούχου, το γεωτρύπανο έφθασε σε βάθος 5.500 μέτρων.
Βέβαια το βίντεο αυτό αποτελεί και μια άμεση απάντηση στις δηλώσεις του Αμερικανού υφυπουργού Εξωτερικών των ΗΠΑ, Μάθιου Πάλμερ ο οποίος σε δηλώσεις του αναφορικά με τις τουρκικές προκλητικές ενέργειες στην ανατολική Μεσόγειο και πιο συγκεκριμένα για τις γεωτρήσεις των πλωτών γεωτρυπάνων στην κυπριακή ΑΟΖ είπε πως είναι παράνομες και πως εάν συμπεριλάβει η Άγκυρα και περιοχές που ανήκουν στην ελληνική ΑΟΖ θα το θεωρήσουν οι ΗΠΑ «ζημιογόνο και προκλητικό»
Πάντως σε ότι αφορά την κυπριακή ΑΟΖ η Άγκυρα δεν φαίνεται να δίνει σημασία στις αμερικανικές ενστάσεις. Έχει συνηθίσει άλλωστε να τις διαχειρίζεται εύκολα.
