Σε μία σύλληψη ενός ατόμου έχει προχωρήσει η αστυνομία για τη φωτιά που είναι σε εξέλιξη στην Εύβοια. Πρόκειται για έναν 64χρονο, κάτοικο της περιοχής Μανίκια στην Εύβοια, ο οποίος σύμφωνα με την Πυροσβεστική, έκαιγε ξερά χόρτα έξω από το σπίτι του. Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία η φωτιά ξεκίνησε από τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο του σπιτιού του.
O 64χρονος συνελήφθη απο πυροσβεστες και αναμένεται να οδηγηθεί στον Εισαγγελέα Χαλκίδας. Κλιμάκιο της Διεύθυνσης Αντιμετώπισης Εγκλημάτων Εμπρησμού (Δ.Α.Ε.Ε.) βρίσκεται στην περιοχή της Εύβοιας, προς διερεύνηση των αιτιών, για τις πυρκαγιές που είναι σε εξέλιξη στον Άγιο Γεώργιο και στο Πυργί.
