Έως την περιοχή των Κυθήρων πλησίασαν τουρκικά αλιευτικά, φτάνοντας κοντά ακόμα και στην ακτή για να ψαρέψουν, σύμφωνα με καταγγελία που έγινε στο Open και την εκπομπή «Τώρα Μαζί» από τον Γιώργο Κοντολέων, πρόεδρο του Αλιευτικού Συλλόγου Κυθήρων.
«Τα τουρκικά αλιευτικά περνάνε πολύ κοντά στη στεριά. Εάν εμείς περνούσαμε τόσο κοντά στην Τουρκία σίγουρα θα μας είχαν βυθίσει… Και δεν θα πηγαίναμε και εκεί», λέει ο ψαράς. «Πάντα υπάρχει ένας φόβος, γιατί περνάνε;», τονίζει ενώ αναφέρει πως έριξαν και δίκτυα έξω από το νησί.
Σε ερώτηση για το εάν έχει δει ο ίδιος το Λιμενικό να προσπαθεί να τους παρεμποδίσει να ψαρέψουν εντός των ελληνικών υδάτων, ο κ. Κοντολέων απαντά: «Δεν έχω παρατηρήσει κάτι τέτοιο».
Ο ψαράς παρείχε στο Open και φωτογραφίες – ντοκουμέντο που τραβήχτηκαν πριν από περίπου 10 μέρες.
