Σεισμική δόνηση μεγέθους 3,9 βαθμών της κλίμακας Ρίχτερ σημειώθηκε στη Ρόδο λίγο μετά τις εννέα το πρωί της Τρίτης. Ο σεισμός έγινε σε θαλάσσιο χώρο 17 χλμ. ανατολικά της Ρόδου, αν και η αρχική καταμέτρηση ήταν 30 χλμ. ανατολικά-νοτιοανατολικά της Ρόδου.
Το εστιακό βάθος είναι 53,2 χλμ., σύμφωνα με το Γεωδυναμικό Ινστιτούτο.
