Έφυγε από τη ζωή η πρώην αντιδήμαρχος Παιδείας, εν ενεργεία δημοτική σύμβουλος του δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης και διδάκτωρ του τμήματος Κοινωνιολογίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.
Έφυγε από τη ζωή η πρώην αντιδήμαρχος Παιδείας, εν ενεργεία δημοτική σύμβουλος του δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης και διδάκτωρ του τμήματος Κοινωνιολογίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, Δήμητρα Ακριτίδου, μετά από σκληρή μάχη με τον καρκίνο.
Η εκπαιδευτικός, Δήμητρα Ακριτίδου, στις αυτοδιοικητικές εκλογές του 2019 εξελέγη με την παράταξη του Νίκου Ταχιάου και ακολούθως προσχώρησε στη διοίκηση Ζέρβα. Ανέλαβε αρχικά χρέη αντιδημάρχου Παιδείας και ακολούθως τα καθήκοντα της προέδρου στην Κοινωφελή Επιχείρηση Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης.
«Με βαθιά θλίψη αποχαιρετώ τη Δήμητρα, που έφυγε από κοντά μας μετά από σκληρή μάχη με τον καρκίνο, την οποία έδωσε μέχρι την τελευταία στιγμή με γενναιότητα κι αξιοπρέπεια. Εργατική και δυναμική, διέγραψε μια μεγάλη πορεία στον χώρο της εκπαίδευσης, στην πολιτική και στην τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση», ανέφερε σε ανάρτησή του ο δήμαρχος Θεσσαλονίκης, Κωνσταντίνος Ζέρβας, εκφράζοντας τα θερμά συλλυπητήρια του στην οικογένεια και στους οικείους της.
