Πυκνός καπνός και φλόγες τύλιξαν τη βόρεια Λαμία στο ύψος της «Καμηλόβρυσης» σύμφωνα με τις μαρτυρίες διερχόμενων οδηγών, αλλά και των κατοίκων στις βόρειες συνοικίες…
Μάλιστα η κυκλοφορία διεξαγόταν με δυσκολία λόγω περιορισμένης ορατότητας. Η πυρκαγιά έχει εκδηλωθεί εντός του καταυλισμού και στο σημείο σπεύδουν ισχυρές πυροσβεστικές δυνάμεις που ζήτησαν τη συνδρομή της ΕΛ.ΑΣ.
Δυστυχώς οι εκδηλώσεις πυρκαγιών στο σημείο είναι πολύ συχνό φαινόμενο, με τις αιτίες να προσδιορίζονται στην πρόθεση των Ρομά για να απομακρύνουν φίδια και άλλα τρωκτικά ή απλά για να κάψουν λάστιχα και καλώδια από τα οποία αφαιρούν τον χαλκό.
Για αυτό πολλές φορές οι Πυροσβέστες έχουν αντιμετωπίσει προβλήματα από τη συμπεριφορά των κατοίκων του καταυλισμού που δεν επιτρέπουν την κατάσβεσή τους.
Πάντως, αφού κατασβεστεί η φωτιά θα πρέπει να ακολουθήσει έρευνα αν η καρμπόν φωτιά με τη Μόρια είναι τυχαίο γεγονός ή συμβαίνει κάτι άλλο
