«Από τις πιο ελεεινές φιγούρες της ευρωπαϊκής πολιτικής ζωής» χαρακτήρισε τον Αλέξη Τσίπρα ο επικεφαλής της Γαλλικής Αριστεράς και Ευρωβουλευτής, Ζαν Λυκ Μελανσόν.
Μιλώντας στο γαλλικό δίκτυο BFMTV ο Μελανσόν απάντησε σε σχόλιο του Έλληνα πρωθυπουργού που προσπαθούσε να του κάνει «μαθήματα» για το νόημα της Αριστεράς. «Έχω την αίσθηση ότι ο Μελανσόν δεν θέλει να κυβερνήσει» είχε δηλώσει ο Τσίπρας και συμπλήρωσε: «Είμαι πλέον βέβαιος ότι σε περίπτωση νίκης δεν θα ξέρει τι να κάνει. Αυτό δεν αποτελεί αριστερή θέση».
Γελώντας για το σχόλιο του Τσίπρα ο Μελανσόν σημείωσε ότι ο Τσίπρας εξελέγη, υποσχόμενος ένα αριστερό ριζοσπαστικό πρόγραμμα και όταν του παρουσίασαν ένα απαράδεκτο μνημόνιο το έθεσε σε δημοψήφισμα χωρίς να αποδεχθεί τελικά τη βούληση του ελληνικού λαού. «Πρόδωσε το λόγο του», σημείωσε ο Μελανσόν
«Γιατί ξεπουλά τη δημόσια περιουσία και καταστρέφει τη χώρα του», αναρωτήθηκε ο Γάλλος πολιτικός σημειώνοντας ότι δεν θέλει να υπάρχει ούτε ένας Γάλλος πολίτης που να πιστεύει ότι αν ο ίδιος αναλάβει την εξουσία θα γίνει ένας ακόμη Τσίπρας.
