Μεγάλη σεισμική δόνηση ύψους 5,4 βαθμών της κλίμακας Ρίχτερ ταρακούνησε τα Δωδεκάνησα.
Η ισχυρή σεισμική δόνηση σημειώθηκε λίγα λεπτά πριν από τα μεσάνυχτα της Τρίτης, 27 χιλιόμετρα βορειοδυτικά του χωριού Έμπωνα στη Ρόδο.
Βάσει της αυτόματης λύσης του Αστεροσκοπείου Αθηνών το εστιακό βάθος εντοπίζεται στα 56 χιλιόμετρα.
