Σε απελπιστική κατάσταση βρίσκονται οι κάτοικοι των χωριών και των ευρύτερων περιοχών της Θεσσαλίας, εξαιτίας των φονικών πλημμυρών που έπληξαν την περιφέρεια μετά το πέρασμα της κακοκαιρίας «Daniel».
Ειδικότερα, όπως αναφέρουν πληροφορίες του MEGA, ο Βλοχός Καρδίτσας παραμένει αποκλεισμένος καθώς 13 μέρες μετά την κακοκαιρία Daniel τα νερά που «βούλιαξαν» το χωριό των κατοίκων δεν έχουν υποχωρήσει ακόμα.
Κάτοικοι κοιμούνται έξω από την εκκλησία στο Βλοχό Καρδίτσας
Ο Άγιος Αθανάσιος είναι η μοναδική εκκλησία που έχει σωθεί. Ο παπάς αποφάσισε να ανοίξει σήμερα Κυριακή (17/9) την εκκλησία και να λειτουργήσει και πάλι, προσπαθώντας να μαζέψει το ποίμνιό του, αν και ο κόσμος δεν κατοικεί πλέον στο χωριό. Περίπου 15 άτομα από τα γύρω χωριά βρίσκονται στην εκκλησία.
Οι κάτοικοι κοιμούνται έξω από την εκκλησία κάνοντας βάρδιες ώστε να μην γίνεται πλιάτσικο στο χωριό. Ό,τι έχει απομένει από τα υπάρχοντά τους είναι κάποια οικογενειακά κειμήλια.
