Την είδηση για την απομάκρυνση των πινακίδων «Φίλιππος» και «Αλέξανδρος» από το υπόγειο τούνελ της Κατερίνης της εθνικής οδού την έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα το μπλογκ «ΛΕΥΤΕΡΙΑ» και ο συνεργάτης της Αποστόλης Λέινας την ανακοίνωσε ο ίδιος την Κυριακή στην «Εκάβη» στη διαβούλευση για την Μακεδονία που οργάνωσε η Πανελλήνια Ομοσπονδία Πολιτιστικών Συλλόγων Μακεδόνων.
Το περιστατικό έλαβε πανελλήνια διάσταση, δημοσιεύτηκε σε όλο τον ηλεκτρονικό τύπο και έτσι χθες η εκπρόσωπος της εταιρείας αναγκάστηκε – ψελλίζοντας – να ομολογήσει ότι απομακρύνθηκαν οι δύο πινακίδες, για να… τις «καθαρίσουν», αλλά να μην τις τοποθετήσουν ξανά στην είσοδο αλλά μέσα στους τοίχους, όπως τις επιτύμβιες πλάκες. Ο καθένας λοιπόν μπορεί να βγάλει τα δικά του συμπεράσματα και να αντιληφθεί το που «βαδίζει» η σημερινή πολιτική εξουσία. Όπως ήταν επόμενο η εκπρόσωπος της εταιρείας δεν διευκρίνισε αν η εταιρεία ή κάποιοι μέτοχοί της έχουν κι άλλα έργα στα Σκόπια.
