Μεγάλη φωτιά ξέσπασε τώρα στη Ρόδο, η οποία καίει δάσος, στην περιοχή Μονόλιθος.
Άμεσα σήμανε συναγερμός από την Πυροσβεστική και κινητοποιήθηκαν ισχυρές δυνάμεις. Όπως αναφέρουν οι πληροφορίες, στην κατάσβεση επιχειρούν 32 πυροσβέστες με 1 ομάδα πεζοπόρων της 11ης ΕΔΟΜΕ μαζί με 10 οχήματα. Στο σημείο έχουν σπεύσει και συνδράμουν στην επιχείρηση και υδροφόρες ΟΤΑ, οι οποίες ενισχύουν τις επίγειες δυνάμεις, μεταφέροντας νερό στην περιοχή.
Παράλληλα, γίνονται και εναέριες ρίψεις από 3 αεροσκάφη και 5 ελικόπτερα.

Υπενθυμίζεται, ότι μεγάλη πυρκαγιά είχε ξεσπάσει και το περυσινό καλοκαίρι, του 2023, και είχε πλήξει μεγάλο μέρος του νησιού. Με τη φωτιά να έχει καταστρέψει περίπου πάνω από 50.000 στρέμματα.
