«Ισχυρή σεισμική δόνηση μεγέθους 6.1 βαθμών της κλίμακας Richter σημειώθηκε σήμερα 27 Νοεμβρίου 2019 και ώρα 09.23΄ στα Αντικύθηρα. Σύμφωνα με το Γεωδυναμικό Ινστιτούτο του Εθνικού Αστεροσκοπείου Αθηνών, το επίκεντρο της δόνησης εντοπίζεται στον θαλάσσιο χώρο 20 Χλμ. Ν των Αντικυθήρων και σε απόσταση 258 Χλμ Ν της Αθήνας.
»Άμεσα τέθηκαν σε ετοιμότητα όλες οι δυνάμεις Πολιτικής Προστασίας, το Πυροσβεστικό Σώμα, καθώς και η ΕΜΑΚ, ενώ κατόπιν εντολής του Γενικού Γραμματέα Πολιτικής Προστασίας, Νίκου Χαρδαλιά, ενεργοποιήθηκαν για προληπτικούς λόγους τα πρωτόκολλα ενεργειών μεγάλου σεισμού. Σημειώνεται ότι ο σεισμός έγινε αισθητός σε αρκετές περιοχές της χώρας, ωστόσο μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχουν αναφερθεί ζημιές ή τραυματισμοί και δεν συντρέχει κανένας λόγος ανησυχίας» αναφέρεται στην ανακοίνωση.
