Το αεροσκάφος ανήκε στην αερολέσχη Μεσολογγίου – Πολύ κοντά στο σπίτι του ενός εκ των δύο θυμάτων κατέπεσε το αεροπλάνο
Νεκροί είναι οι δύο επιβαίνοντες στο μονοκινητήριο αεροσκάφος της αερολέσχης Μεσολογγίου που κατέπεσε κάτω από άγνωστες έως τώρα συνθήκες στο χωριό Χαριά Ηλείας, 15 χιλιόμετρα έξω από τον Πύργο. Μάλιστα, το σημείο πτώσης απέχει ελάχιστα από το σπίτι του ενός εκ των δύο θυμάτων. Μετά την πτώση του, το αεροσκάφος τυλίχθηκε στις φλόγες, ενώ οι δύο επιβαίνοντας απανθρακώθηκαν. Κάτοικοι έσπευσαν με λάστιχα να βοηθήσουν στην κατάσβεση
Σύμφωνα με το ilialive.gr επί τόπου έχουν φτάσει δυνάμεις της Πυροσβεστικής, που ανέσυραν τα δύο θύματα.
Στο σημείο σπεύδουν και άνδρες της Αστυνομίας που παίρνουν καταθέσεις από τους τρομοκρατημένους ενοίκους του σπιτιού, σε μια προσπάθεια να εξακριβώσουν πώς συνέβη το δυστύχημα.
Μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχουν γίνει γνωστά τα αίτια της πτώσης.
