Έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 31 ετών και ο δημοσιογράφος της «Καθημερινής», Οδυσσέας Πάππος.
Ο Οδυσσέας εργαζόταν στο τμήμα των διεθνών ειδήσεων της εφημερίδα τα τελευταία τρία χρόνια και είχε σπουδάσει φιλοσοφία στο Ρέθυμνο.
Είχε παίξει στο «Φιλίζι», την ταινία μικρού μήκους του Φοίβου Κοντογιάννη, ενώ μετέφρασε το «Ο,τι μου κάνει κέφι» του Τζορτζ Οργουελ (εκδ. Μεταίχμιο) και το «Σχίζοντας τους αιθέρες» της Κέρι Γκρίνγουντ (εκδ. Κουκουβάγια).
Σύμφωνα με την «Καθημερινή», τις τελευταίες ημέρες της ζωής του νοσηλευόταν στο νοσοκομείο Ερυθρός Σταυρός, όπου γιατροί και νοσηλευτές αγωνίστηκαν να τον κρατήσουν στη ζωή.
Δεν γνωρίζουμε εάν είχε λάβει τα εμβόλια COVID-19.
Η «Καθημερινή» εκφράζει τα συλλυπητήριά της στην οικογένεια και στους οικείους του.
