Οι κινητοποιήσεις των κατοίκων του Καραβόμυλου είχαν απτό αποτέλεσμα, καθώς η ηγεσία του υπουργείου Προστασίας του Πολίτη αποφάσισε την αναστολή των σχεδίων δημιουργίας hot spot.
Την ακύρωση των σχεδίων δημιουργίας hot spot σε στρατόπεδο του Καραβόμυλου, στη Λαμία, ανακοίνωσε και επισήμως ο Περιφερειάρχης Στερεάς Ελλάδας, Φάνης Σπανός.
Σε δηλώσεις του προς τα τοπικά media, ο κ. Σπανός γνωστοποίησε την απόφαση της ηγεσίας του υπουργείου Προστασίας Πολίτη να αναβληθεί επ’ αόριστον το σχέδιο δημιουργίας hot spot στο συγκεκριμένο στρατόπεδο.
Τόνισε δε, ότι αναμένεται να γίνει ένας νέος σχεδιασμός για την αντιμετώπιση του προσφυγικού, με τους κατά τόπους Περιφερειάρχες να καλούνται να καταθέσουν πλάνο για τον αριθμό των προσφύγων που μπορούν να φιλοξενήσουν.
Στο συγκεκριμένο πλάνο θα συμπεριλαμβάνονται και οι πιθανές τοποθεσίες, όπου μπορούν να εγκατασταθούν οι κατάλληλοι χώροι φιλοξενίας.
