Αυτό που συμβαίνει αυτή τη στιγμή στις Καματριάδες της Εύβοιας είναι το συγκλονιστικότερο πράγμα που έχουμε ζήσει στη Ελλάδα εδώ και δεκαετίες.
Οι κάτοικοι του χωριού φτάνουν κατά δεκάδες μέσα στο σούρουπο από παντού και σχηματίζουν μια ανθρώπινη αλυσίδα μπροστά στη φωτιά που κατεβαίνει σαν καταρράκτης και σε λίγο θα καταπιεί το χωριό τους και κυρίως το βιος τους, τις καλλιέργειες από τις οποίες ζούνε από τον καιρό των προγόνων τους.
Ολομόναχοι, με κλαδιά και μπιτόνια με νερό που κουβάλησαν, μπροστά στο θεριό.
Στην πιο τραγική και συνάμα γενναία στιγμή μιας εφιαλτικής εβδομάδας.
