Ισχυρά από τεχνολογικής πλευράς, αλλά ούτε τα ρομπότ μπορούν να αντέξουν σε καθεστώς ακατάπαυστης εργασίας.
Ένα ρομπότ κατέρρευσε μετά από 20 ώρες συνεχούς εργασίας. Το έργο του ήταν να μετακινεί βαριές παλέτες εμπορευμάτων στην αποθήκη.
Οι εργαζόμενοι που βρίσκονταν εκείνη τη στιγμή έσπευσαν να βοηθήσουν το ρομπότ, αλλά φαινόταν ότι κάτι δεν πήγαινε καλά.
Το ρομπότ είχε υπερθερμανθεί και υπέστη καταστροφική βλάβη, αφήνοντάς το εκτός λειτουργίας.
Το περιστατικό είχε σαν αποτέλεσμα να καθυστερήσουν οι εργασίες της αποθήκης, αφού οι υπάλληλοι θα έπρεπε να βάλουν σε λειτουργία άλλα ρομπότ για τις ανάλογες εργασίες που εκτελούσε το πρώτο που κατέρρευσε.
Η αυτοματοποίηση και η ρομποτική μπορεί να είναι ιδιαίτερα αποδοτικές, ωστόσο δεν είναι αλάνθαστες και μπορεί να έχουν σοβαρές συνέπειες στον εργασιακό χώρο.

Το ρομπότ αξίζει κάποιες χιλιάδες, και ο Κινέζος εργάτης που αμείβεται όσο το ρεύμα του ρομπότ, δεν κοστίζει σχεδόν τίποτα και αντικαθίσταται αμέσως σε περίπτωση υπερθέρμανσης!
