Βορειοκορεατικό αεροπλάνο πετάει πάνω από το προεδρικό γραφείο στη Νότια Κορέα. Ο στρατός της Νότιας Κορέας επιβεβαίωσε την Πέμπτη ότι ένα βορειοκορεατικό μη επανδρωμένο αεροσκάφος διείσδυσε στη ζώνη απαγόρευσης πτήσεων γύρω από το προεδρικό γραφείο κατά τη διάρκεια μιας σπάνιας εισβολής τον περασμένο μήνα, την οποία είχε προηγουμένως αρνηθεί.
«Το αεροπλάνο πέταξε για λίγο στο βόρειο άκρο της περιοχής, αλλά δεν πλησίασε τις κύριες εγκαταστάσεις ασφαλείας», δήλωσε στρατιωτικός αξιωματούχος σύμφωνα με το πρακτορείο ειδήσεων Yonhap. Ανέφερε ότι το αεροσκάφος παραβίασε την κύρια ζώνη απαγόρευσης πτήσεων, γνωστή ως «B-73», η οποία περιλαμβάνει τον εναέριο χώρο πάνω από το προεδρικό γραφείο στη Νότια Κορέα.
Η Πιονγκγιάνγκ είχε στείλει 5 drones πέρα από τα σύνορα στον εναέριο χώρο της Νότιας Κορέας στις 26 Δεκεμβρίου, και ο στρατός της Νότιας Κορέας απέτυχε να τα καταρρίψει, δικαιολογούμενος ότι ήταν «πολύ μικρά». Αυτό έρχεται εν μέσω έντονης κλιμάκωσης των στρατιωτικών εντάσεων στην κορεατική χερσόνησο το 2022, καθώς η Βόρεια Κορέα εκτόξευσε περίπου 70 βαλλιστικούς πυραύλους.
Η Πιονγκγιάνγκ λέει ότι όλες οι στρατιωτικές της δραστηριότητες είναι απάντηση στις «προκλήσεις» της Νότιας Κορέας, η οποία πρόσφατα διεξήγαγε εκτεταμένες στρατιωτικές ασκήσεις, είτε ανεξάρτητα είτε σε συνεργασία με τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες και την Ιαπωνία.
