Περίπου 32 άνθρωποι σκοτώθηκαν και άλλοι 60 τραυματίστηκαν το Σάββατο σε σύγκρουση πολλών οχημάτων που σημειώθηκε στην επαρχία Μπεχέιρα της Αιγύπτου, στον δρόμο Αλεξάνδρειας – Καΐρου, περίπου 132 χιλιόμετρα βόρεια της αιγυπτιακής πρωτεύουσας, σύμφωνα με όσα ανέφεραν τα κρατικά μέσα ενημέρωσης.
Διαρροή λαδιού μηχανής από ένα αυτοκίνητο φαίνεται πως προκάλεσε τη σύγκρουση με ορισμένα οχήματα να παίρνουν φωτιά, ανέφερε η κρατική εφημερίδα Al-Ahram επικαλούμενη αστυνομικές πηγές.
Επίσημα, το υπουργείο Υγείας της Αιγύπτου έχει κάνει αναφορά για 45 τραυματίες που έχουν μεταφερθεί στα νοσοκομεία, ενώ στο σημείο της καραμπόλας μετέβησαν 20 ασθενοφόρα.
