Τρία άτομα έχασαν τη ζωή τους στη Γαλλία, όταν το ελικόπτερο της πυροσβεστικής, στο οποίο επέβαιναν συνετρίβη κοντά στη Μασσαλία.
Το ελικόπτερο πραγματοποιούσε πτήση για αποστολή αεροδιακομιδής τραυματιών από τις πληγείσες από τις πλημμύρες περιοχές της νοτιοανατολικής Γαλλίας.
Σύμφωνα με το υπουργείο Εσωτερικών της Γαλλίας, το ελικόπτερο συνετρίβη τα ξημερώματα της Δευτέρας. Όταν διακόπηκε η επαφή με τα ραντάρ σήμανε συναγερμός και ξεκίνησε μεγάλη έρευνα για τον εντοπισμό του ελικοπτέρου.
Οι τρεις επιβαίνοντες βρέθηκαν νεκροί κοντά στην κοινότητα Ροβ, ενώ μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχουν γίνει γνωστά τα αίτια και οι συνθήκες του δυστυχήματος.
Οι νομοί Βαρ και Αλπ-Μαριτίμ, στην Κυανή Ακτή, επλήγησαν ξανά από σφοδρές βροχοπτώσεις και πλημμύρες χθες Κυριακή, μία εβδομάδα μετά τις πλημμύρες οι οποίες στοίχισαν τη ζωή σε έξι ανθρώπους.
Δύο ακόμα άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους στο Βαρ, όπως ανέφερε η νομαρχιακή αυτοδιοίκηση της περιοχής.
