Τραγωδία έλαβε χώρα σε ράλι στην Ισπανία, όταν ένα αυτοκίνητο βγήκε εκτός δρόμου και έπεσε πάνω σε θεατές, με αποτέλεσμα τον θάνατο έξι και τον τραυματισμό 16.
Μεταξύ των νεκρών, όπως αναφέρεται σε δημοσίευμα της Daily Mail, περιλαμβάνονται δύο έγκυες και ένα οκτάχρονο παιδί, ενώ οι έξι εκ των τραυματιών βρίσκονται στο νοσοκομείο με βαριά τραύματα.
Το περιστατικό έλαβε χώρα στο La Coruna Rally, στο Καράλ, ενώ παρακολουθούσαν χιλιάδες. Το αυτοκίνητο ήταν Peugeot 206, ενώ σημειώνεται ότι δεν υπήρχαν μπάρες ασφαλείας.

Σύμφωνα με ισπανικά ΜΜΕ, ο οδηγός ήταν ο ντόπιος Σέρτζιο Ταμπεάγλιο Σάντε, (Tisi), με συνοδηγό τον Λουΐς Μιγκέλ Πρέγκο. Ο αγώνας σταμάτησε αμέσως μετά το δυστύχημα. Μεταξύ των νεκρών περιλαμβάνεται και ο σύντροφος της μιας εγκύου που σκοτώθηκε, ενώ έχουν τραυματιστεί και παιδιά.
