Όπως αναφέρουν στοιχεία μια έκθεσης του Ευρωπαϊκού Κέντρου Ελέγχου Νοσημάτων (ECDC), η απορρόφηση του εμβολιασμού κατά της εποχικής γρίπης και του COVID-19 για ομάδες κινδύνου όπως οι ηλικιωμένοι δεν ήταν η βέλτιστη σε αρκετά κράτη μέλη της ΕΕ/ΕΟΧ κατά την περίοδο 2023-2024!
«Ο εμβολιασμός είναι ένα από τα πιο αποτελεσματικά μέτρα που έχουμε για να προστατεύσουμε τους πιο ευάλωτους στην κοινωνία από σοβαρές ασθένειες, νοσηλεία και θάνατο. Με τόσες λίγες χώρες να φτάνουν σε επαρκή επίπεδα προστασίας για τις ομάδες-στόχους, είναι απαραίτητο να αυξηθεί η απορρόφηση του εμβολιασμού καθώς μπαίνουμε στη χειμερινή περίοδο», δήλωσε η Pamela Rendi-Wagner, διευθύντρια του ECDC.
Γιατί άραγε δεν εμβολιάζονται ακόμα και υγειονομικοί;
Μάλιστα, τα νούμερα στην Ελλάδα είναι ενδεικτικά!
Η κάλυψη εμβολίου COVID-19 από 1η Σεπτεμβρίου 2023 έως 31 Ιουλίου 2024 είναι η εξής:
-Ηλικίας 60–69 ετών: 7.1%
-Ηλικίας 70–79 ετών: 11.7%
-Ηλικίας 80 ετών και άνω: 8.9%
-Υγειονομικοί: 4.4%
Μάλιστα η χώρα μας είναι από τις χαμηλότερες με εμβολιαστική κάλυψη στην Ευρώπη!
