Το δυστύχημα σημειώθηκε κοντά στην κοινότητα Μπαχμάνι
Ένα ημιφορτηγό έπεσε σε χαράδρα στο κρατίδιο Τσατίσγκαρ της κεντρικής Ινδίας, με αποτέλεσμα 17 άνθρωποι να σκοτωθούν και άλλοι 8 να τραυματιστούν.
Το δυστύχημα σημειώθηκε κοντά στην κοινότητα Μπαχμάνι, η οποία βρίσκεται 173 χιλιόμετρα βορειοδυτικά της Ραϊπούρ, πρωτεύουσας του κρατιδίου Τσατίσγκαρ.
Σύμφωνα με τις αρχές, στο ημιφορτηγό επέβαιναν 25 εργάτες που επέστρεφαν στα σπίτια τους από δάσος όπου είχαν πάει για να μαζέψουν φύλλα λωτού, τα οποία χρησιμοποιούνται για την παρασκευή στριφτών τσιγάρων.
