TODAY is the 100th anniversary for the RAFs 41 Squadron which they have marked with a new paint job. The new paint scheme is aimed to reflect the squadrons past, current and future and features depictions of the different aircrafts that have been flown by the squadron during its service. Based at RAF Coningsby the squadron is one of the oldest in the RAF. Founded in 1916 at the height of the First World War the squadron has played a pivotal part in a number of British conflicts ever since.

Συναγερμός στη Βρετανία! Σηκώθηκαν δύο πολεμικά RAF τύπου Typhoon (upd)
Δύο μαχητικά αεροσκάφη της Βασιλικής Βρετανικής Αεροπορίας (RAF) απογειώθηκαν άμεσα από αεροπορική βάση της Σκοτίας, σύμφωνα με το τηλεοπτικό δίκτυο Sky News, το οποίο επικαλέστηκε ανώνυμες πηγές.
Το υπουργείο Άμυνας της Βρετανίας, δεν σχολίασε άμεσα την είδηση.
Τα δύο μαχητικά αεροσκάφη βρέθηκαν άμεσα στον αέρα, πραγματοποιώντας ταχεία απογείωση προκειμένου να αντιδράσουν στην πτήση ρωσικού αεροσκάφους, το οποίο πετούσε κοντά στις ακτές της Βρετανίας, σύμφωνα με την εκτίμηση της εφημερίδας “The Daily Mail.”
