Εννέα άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους στην κεντρική Ρωσία όπου ισχυροί άνεμοι ξερίζωσαν δέντρα και οι έντονες βροχοπτώσεις προκάλεσαν διακοπές ρεύματος σε εκατοντάδες οικισμούς, ανέφερε σήμερα το υπουργείο Εκτάκτων Καταστάσεων της Ρωσίας.
Επτά άνθρωποι σκοτώθηκαν και άλλοι 27 τραυματίστηκαν σε κατασκηνωτικό χώρο κοντά στη λίμνη Γιάλτσικ στην περιοχή Μάρι-Ελ, ανέφερε.
Το AFP, που επικαλείται τις τοπικές αρχές, κάνει λόγο για οκτώ νεκρούς στον κατασκηνωτικό χώρο.
Εικόνες που ανήρτησε το υπουργείο στην εφαρμογή Telegram δείχνουν αυτοκίνητα και αντίσκηνα να έχουν υποστεί σοβαρές ζημιές από πεσμένα δέντρα.
Οι καταιγίδες προκάλεσαν προβλήματα στην ηλεκτροδότηση 520 οικισμών, κατέστρεψαν στέγες και 41 κτίρια κατοικιών καθώς και επτά κτίρια που στεγάζουν κοινωνικές υπηρεσίες σε οκτώ περιοχές της Ρωσίας, δήλωσαν αξιωματούχοι.
