Τούρκοι ψαράδες πλησίασαν σήμερα για πρώτη μέρα τα Ίμια ψαρεύοντας στην περιοχή υπό την επίβλεψη του τουρκικού λιμενικού, σύμφωνα με το τουρκικό ειδησεογραφικό πρακτορείο ειδήσεων.
Οι ίδιες πηγές αναφέρουν ότι για έβδομη μέρα παρά την κακοκαιρία στην περιοχή των Ιμίων οι δυνάμεις ασφαλείας της Τουρκίας και της Ελλάδας συνεχίζουν τα μέτρα ασφαλείας γύρω από την βραχονησίδα.
Σύμφωνα με το ειδησεογραφικό πρακτορείο Ανατολού οι δυνάμεις ασφαλείας της Τουρκίας αναμένουν στην περιοχή με στόχο να εμποδίσουν πιθανή παραβίαση ελληνικών δυνάμεων στα τουρκικά χωρικά ύδατα. Ένα τουρκικό πολεμικό πλοίο αναμένει στα ανοιχτά του Τουργκούτρεϊς της Αλικαρνασού ενώ σκάφη του τουρκικού λιμενικού κάνουν βρίσκονται κοντά στην περιοχή των Ιμίων και πότε πότε κάνουν περιπολίες.
Σύμφωνα με τον Ανατολού ενώ τις τελευταίες μέρες δεν επιτρεπόταν στους ψαράδες να ψαρεύουν στην περιοχή με στόχο να αποφευχθεί τυχόν αρνητικό επεισόδιο, σήμερα για πρώτη μέρα θεάθηκαν ψαράδες σε περιοχή κοντά στα Ίμια. Όσο οι ψαράδες βρίσκονταν εκεί δύο σκάφη του τουρκικού λιμενικού έκαναν περιπολίες κοντά στην περιοχή.
