Προτρέπει την Τεχεράνη να εγκαταλείψει το πρόγραμμα εμπλουτισμού ουρανίου
Ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος, Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, έστειλε νέο μήνυμα στο Ιράν για να εγκαταλείψει το πρόγραμμα εμπλουτισμού ουρανίου μετά τις δηλώσεις του Αμπάς Αραγτσί, προειδοποιώντας την Τεχεράνη με νέα πλήγματα.
«Θα το ξανακάνουμε αν χρειαστεί!», έγραψε ο πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ στον λογαριασμό του στην πλατφόρμα Truth Social.
«Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών του Ιράν, Αμπάς Αραγτσί για τις πυρηνικές εγκαταστάσεις του Ιράν: “οι ζημιές είναι πολύ σοβαρές, καταστράφηκαν”. Φυσικά και καταστράφηκαν, όπως έχω πει», έγραψε ο Ν.Τραμπ.
Ο Α.Αραγτσί δήλωσε σε συνέντευξή του στον δημοσιογράφο Μπρετ Μπάιερ του τηλεοπτικού δικτύου Fox News ότι «Το πρόγραμμα έχει σταματήσει επειδή, ναι, οι ζημιές είναι σοβαρές και σημαντικές και η έκτασή τους υπόκειται σε αξιολόγηση από τον Οργανισμό μας Ατομικής Ενέργειας».
Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών του Ιράν διεμήνυσε επίσης ότι η Τεχεράνη δεν σκοπεύει να εγκαταλείψει το πρόγραμμα εμπλουτισμού ουρανίου. «Προφανώς δεν μπορούμε να εγκαταλείψουμε τον εμπλουτισμό, πρόκειται για επίτευγμα των επιστημόνων μας. Και τώρα, πέραν όλων των άλλων, είναι ζήτημα εθνικής υπερηφάνειας», είπε ο επικεφαλής της ιρανικής διπλωματίας.
Ο Α.Αραγτσί προέβη στα σχόλια αυτά ενόψει του νέου γύρου των διαπραγματεύσεων μεταξύ του Ιράν και των τριών ευρωπαϊκών δυνάμεων υπό το σχήμα Ε3 – δηλαδή της Βρετανίας, της Γαλλίας και της Γερμανίας – την Παρασκευή στην Κωνσταντινούπολη.
