Η αποχαιρετιστήρια ομιλία του θρύλου του NBA που πέθανε έπειτα από πτώση του ελικοπτέρου του, έγινε στο Staples Center στο Λος Άντζελες και την πετσέτα την είχε στους ώμους του.
Ένας φίλαθλος άρπαξε την πετσέτα, που έχει πωληθεί πολλές φορές έως τώρα, αλλά στην ηλεκτρονική δημοπρασία που έγινε χθες μαζί με δύο εισιτήρια από το παιχνίδι στις 13 Απριλίου 2016, δόθηκαν αντί 33.077,16 δολάρια.
Σε εκείνο το ματς ο Κόμπι Μπράιαντ σημείωσε 60 πόντους επικρατώντας με 101-96 των Γιούτα Τζαζ. Ο άνθρωπος που έδωσε τόσες χιλιάδες δολάρια είναι γνωστό ότι διαθέτει τη μεγαλύτερη συλλογή αναμνηστικών των Λέικερς παγκοσμίως.
